Croatian Team will be coordinating events, from June to August, as a part of LDIM promotional activities. We propose some events that might be a call for the most important one, pilot project in September – Mediterranean cleanup. There we’ll clean for our future and for the future of our only and beautiful Mediterranean.
1. “BLOW THE HORN”
This would be the first event as a call to awake the awareness of all people, that we should do something about our environment.
The idea is that all participating countries get as many ships/boats as possible in their ports/sea in the same time in all countries on 29 June 2013 and to unite all in one trumpeting, as a call to mass awareness about sea pollution, as well as a call to main event – Mediterranean cleanup.
2. MAKING A SAILING BOATS FROM OLD PLASTIC BOTTLES
This would be the second event as a lesson about recycling and reusing something that might otherwise have been thrown in the trash.
The idea of this event is to attract as many people as possible to the most famous beach of each participating country in the same time on 20 July 2013, collect old plastic bottles and making plastic boats, which would amuse people and invite them to the main event – always, Mediterranean cleanup.
3. SPREAD YOUR SAIL
“The last chance event” before the main one.
The idea of this event is that all participating countries get as many ships/boats as possible in their ports/sea in the same time in all countries on 17 August 2013 and unite all in one spreading their sails.
